At Your Command Records - Independent Digital Record Label
It was not long ago that At Your Command Records was only beginning their ambitious dive into the music industry. Just reaching their one year anniversary back in October, you wouldn’t think that this digital label could have made much progress in such little time, but when you have people who are passionate about the music (not just the industry) leading the label, the success starts to make sense. Six bands, four releases, and this is only the very beginning.
Forever reaching for the sky, submissions are already open for 2014 (even though they just announced a new signing about a month ago), and At Your Command Records is ready to make it a bigger year than ever—and not just in America. Blindfold, based out of Athens, Greece, is the label’s newest addition, with a sound that wavers back and forth between intense heaviness and more experimental groove sections. At Your Command Records was savvy enough to plan a simultaneous worldwide launch of the band’s debut single, garnering over 3,000 views in just a short amount of time, and judging by all of the positive YouTube comments, there is a lot of hype surrounding this new band, which was skillfully discovered by the leaders at the label.
At Your Command Records certainly seems to gravitate towards heavier music, with other signings including Pyro, Ohio, post-hardcore based in Virginia, In Vivid Color, Canadian post-hardcore, and From Far Away, hardcore in Maryland. However, the label encourages all bands to apply. Remember, e-mail submissions are open, so anyone with a passion for music and a good work ethic will fit in perfectly with the crew at At Your Command Records. Being in a heavy band certainly won’t hurt though, as the label’s experienced resumè is evidence enough of your potential success, but no matter what, every submission receives and equal amount of attention.
Clearly, there's no reason to dismiss At Your Command Records, because a label that is so closely involved with independent, unsigned artists is sure to be supportive and inclusive of anyone who shares the same passion that they do. They’ve recently given some support for the exciting Hear This! Promotions music festival coming up in a few months, and our relationship with the label goes back to it's inception, so over on our end, we have nothing but good things to say about At Your Command Records. Good people, good music, good heart. What more could you ask for?
